NYFA EARNS 12 MEDALS AT MISSION SYC

We are proud to announce that NYFA earned 12 medals at the Mission Super Youth Circuit, with 12 NYFA athletes participating!

  • Jackie Khrol – Gold medal in Y10 Women’s Epee and top 8 in Y12 Women’s Epee – Congratulations with your first SYC gold
  • Anna Marinovich – Bronze medal in Y10 Women’s Epee – this was Anna’s first SYC – amazing performance. Anna also earned her first National Points
  • Jordan Liverant – Top 8 finish in Y10 Women’s Epee – also her first SYC – good job
  • Mark Dolgonos, Max Chu, Skyler Liverant – Top 8 finish in Y10 Men’s Epee
  • Rachel Tanibajeva – Top 8 in Y12 Women’s Epee – also first National event for Rachel
  • Anton Chmut – Gold medal in Y12 Men’s Epee – another gold for Anton – great job
  • Nathan Vaysberg – Silver medal in Y12 Men’s Epee – best finish for Nathan this season. He also qualified for Y14 Summer Nationals
  • Joshua Sikarevich – Bronze medal in Y12 Men’s Epee – best finish for Josh this season
  • Bennett Cohen – Top 8 in Y12 Men’s Epee

Congratulations also goes out to Mark Irgang who won Gold and earned his E2013 rating at the NYFA D&Under Mixed Epee.

RESULTS UPDATE: QUALIFIERS, ROC, NYFA

Congratulations to NYFA fencers for their top results last weekend:

  • Michael Burovsky, Joshua Sikarevich, Rachel Tanibajeva, Abigail Soto qualified for Y14 Summer Nationals
  • Anna Kornak, Galyna Khrol, Eugene Shifer qualified for Div 2/3 Summer Nationals
  • Abigail Soto, Michael Burovsky qualified for Div 3 Summer Nationals
  • Romain Cannone took 2nd place at the Mission ROC and earned his A2013
  • Galyna Khrol won 1st place in NYFA’s Unrated tournament and earned her E2013

         NYFA Youth & Vet Challenge:

  • Mark Dolgonos – 1st in Y10 epee
  • Anna Marinovich – 2nd in Y10 epee

NYFA FENCERS EARN 4 MEDALS AT APRIL NAC

Congratulations to our youth fencers who competed in the North American Cup in Richmond, Virginia last weekend:


  • Anton Chmut – Bronze medal in Y12 NAC, earned his E2013 rating and National points- his best result so far!
  • Josh Sikarevich – Top 8 in Y12 NAC and earned National points – amazing performance for his first NAC ever!
  • Jackie Khrol – 5th place in Y10 NAC and National points at her first NAC!
  • Mark Dolgonos – Top 8 in Y10 NAC and National points at his first NAC!
  • Bennett Cohen – Top 16 in Y12 NAC and National points
  • Alan Temiryaev – Top 32 in Y12 NAC and National points
  • Abigail Soto, Skyler Liverant and Nicholas Glaz – first NAC – we wish them the best of luck in future events
