New York Fencing Academy was founded in 2010 in Coney Island, Brooklyn as a center for excellence in epee. Today, NYFA has one of the strongest competitive programs in the country, ranked #1 nationally in youth categories by Fencing Tracker and named Fencing Club of the Year by National Club Rankings. In 2018, NYFA expanded to Long Island, originally in Port Washington and now located in New Hyde Park. In 2025, NYFA brought its successful training program to Downtown Brooklyn with their club in Prospect Heights.
