NYFA-LI HEAD COACH
Coach Sergey Danilov is Head Coach & Co-owner of NYFA’s Long Island location. He is also Assistant Coach at St. John’s University, and the Designated USA Team Coach for Cadet and Junior Men’s Epee, as well as Designated National Team Coach for the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 World Championships.
NYFA-LI LOCATION / DIRECTIONS
In April 2026, NYFA-LI relocated from Port Washington to New Hyde Park at 914 Third Avenue & 10th Street, New Hyde Park in Nassau County. We are right across the street from the New Hyde Park LIRR train station (eastbound track). By car, we are 10 minutes from the Northern State or Cross Island Parkway. Parking is free on the side streets; parking in front of the building requires a permit.

NYFA students from all of our locations are members of the same great team with world-class training from our dedicated and accomplished coaches. All members receive the same membership benefits, and are welcome to fence together at our bouting practices, our day camps, and our popular sleep-away summer camps. They can also do make-ups at any NYFA location.
HIGH SCHOOL FENCING
NYFA Founder & Coach Misha Mokretsov and NYFA-LI Head Coach Sergey Danilov have been training Long Island High School fencers for years, including Nassau County Champions, Skyler Chin (Great Neck South), Bennett Cohen (Jericho). Rachel Kowalsky (Oyster Bay), Luke Kugler (Oyster Bay), Olivia Voskov (Wheatley). We are passionate about collaborating with high school fencers and teams to help create more champions. NYFA-LI FACILITIES
Our state-of-the-art fencing gym has 8 electric strips, overhead scoring machines, cushioned fencing floors, targets, air conditioning, heating, lockers, changing rooms, equipment, and extra room for kids classes and conditioning. Parents can watch the action from the club spectator area or check out the fitness gym in the same building for their own workout while the kids fence.
