The season has begun, but it’s never too late to start fencing at NYFA. We have a full schedule of training, bouting, and tournaments for the new and advanced fencer. Here’s what we’re offering for 2013-14:
EPEE TRAINING: NYFA has one of the best epee programs in the Metro NYC area. You can try a private lesson with one of our coaches, or join our club to receive member benefits and your choice of money-saving packages. SATURDAY PRACTICE TOURNAMENTS: Every Saturday at 4:30, competitive fencers gather for full format practice events. Pools and DE’s allow fencers to work on the skills and endurance needed to make it to the podium. Free for A&B fencers and members, $5 for fencers on high school or college teams, and $10 for everyone else. Click here to sign-up

Mark Dolgonos – Silver in Y10 Men’s Epee at the Pan American Youth Championship! This was Mark’s first international competition and he was the only Y10 epee fencer representing the USA. 8 countries participated in this zonal tournament in San Jose, Costa Rica.
At the IFA Series at the Hill Fencing Camp:
Nathan Vaysberg – Gold in Y12 and Gold in Senior Unrated. Earned his E2013.
Skyler Chin – Gold in Senior Epee and Silver in Senior Epee. Renewed his rating to A2013.
Bennett Cohen – 7th in Div 3. Earned his D2013 in Senior Epee.
Jackie Khrol – Gold in Y12.
Mark Dolgonos – Silver in Y12.
Michael Mogilevich – Bronze in Y12 and Bronze in Y12 #2.
Anna Kornak – 8th in Div 3.
Kevin Ko – Earned his D2013 in Senior Epee.
Alex Shifer – 8th in Senior Epee at the Medeo 5th Annual Escrime for Ice Cream Epee Open.
Anna Kornak – Gold in NYFA’s June E & Under. Renewed her rating to E2013.
