Summer Nationals is finished and we are very proud of all our athletes who represented New York Fencing Academy this season in Columbus, Ohio. We would like to announce our results and heartily congratulate NYFA Fencers for their new great achievements:

  • Anna Marinovich – 18th place in Y-10 Women’s Epee
  • Mark Dolgonos – Top 16 in Y-10 Men’s Epee
  • Jaclyn Khrol – 6th place in Y-10 Women’s Epee
  • Anton Chmut – 9th place in Y-12 Men’s Epee
  • Joshua Sikarevich – 19th place in Y-12 Men’s Epee
  • Alan Temiryaev – 20th place in Y-12 Men’s Epee
  • Nathan Vaysberg – 23rd place in Y-12 Men’s Epee
  • Romain Cannone – 7th place in Cadet Men’s Epee and Top 16 in Junior Men’s Epee
  • Anna Kornak – Top 16 in Div II Women’s Epee and earned her D2013

  • NYFA Team (Brosgol, Chelnitsky, Kornak, Khrol) – Top 8 in Senior Team Women’s Epee
  • Yuriy Chelnitsky – earned his E2013

Also, we would like to congratulate Skyler Liverant, Rachel Tanibajeva, Nicholas Glaz, Arkady Nizberg, Alexander Shifer, Galyna Khrol, Joshua Sikarevich, Eugene Shifer, Yury Chelnitsky, Anna Marinovich, Mark Dolgonos, Anna Kornak, Matt Ko who competed in the Summer Nationals for the first time, good job!

NYFA SUMMER NATIONALS 2012 WRAP-UP

Another season has ended with Summer Nationals, the biggest fencing event in the world.  More than 5,000 athletes converged in Anaheim, California to compete in all age groups and weapons. NYFA was represented by 13 athletes: Sophia Chelnitsky, Alex Watkins, Michael Burovsky, Anton Chmut, Bennett Cohen, Sam Burman, Richard Kim, Alan Temiryaev, Anna Brosgol, Skyler Chin, Romain Cannone, Jackie Khrol, and Luca Bellomi.   Some are seasoned and experienced but most are young and promising athletes who were fencing in a competition of such scale for the first time.  All should be proud to have made it to Summer Nationals – you qualified, fought hard and gained great experience for future events.  Congratulations!

CONGRATULATIONS TO NYFA FENCERS AT 2011 SUMMER NATIONALS


New York Fencing Academy would like to thank all of our parents and fencers for your continuous support of our club which allowed us to achieve impressive results at the 2011 Summer Nationals in Reno, Nevada. For ten days, more than 3,500 of the best fencers in the US fought for National titles and medals. NYFA was represented by nine fencers: Annie Morelli, Anna Brosgol, Sophia Chelnitsky, Peye Wong, Skyler Chin, Gabriel Canaux, Daniel Hurwitz, Aaron Fu and Bennett Cohen.  Coach Misha Mokretsov congratulates everyone for giving their maximum effort and making our club proud.
