2023 NYFA International Fencing Summer Camp Highlights


The 2023 NYFA International Camp is in the books! Thank you all the coaches, athletes and staff who made our camp possible! We set a new record with over 360 fencers from all over the world! We trained, made new friends, had fun and became better together! We wish you the best of luck in the upcoming season and we will see you next year!

We enjoyed working with all of our camp athletes who came from Canada, UAE, France, Ukraine, Poland, Netherlands, Great Britain, China, Taiwan, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Turkey, Japan, USA, and included 100 A-rated fencers, 20 National Team Members, Cadet and Junior World Cup Champions , U23 and Cadet European Champion, and Senior World Champion!

  • Big thanks to our incredible coaching team:  Sergei Danilov (Alliance), Yakov Danilenko (Medeo), Arpad Horvath (Vivo), Vadim Diambekov (FAW), Sorah Shin (Swords), Slava Danilov (Penn), Oksana Samorodov (Alamo), Tim Svidnytsky (Toronto), Alexey Sintchinov (Penn State), Yarik Ponomarenko (NYFA), Anton Dutchak (NYFA), Jenya Karyuchenko (NYFA), and Misha Mokretsov (NYFA).
  • Thanks also to the 250 athletes who came from China, Hong Kong, Great Britain, Italy, Turkey, Canada and Panama, and across the US, including special guest fencers, Damiano, Aurora, and Davide Di Veroli, from Italy. Davide is the current European Champion in Cadets and Juniors, World Champion in Cadets, and Silver Medalist in Juniors. We also had World Team members Teddy Lombardo, Anton Piskovatskov, Alan Temiryaev and Sean Wilson from the US.
  • 3 sessions made this year’s camp the biggest yet, and our team did an amazing job making it better than ever!

BIGGEST & BEST SUMMER EPEE FENCING CAMP!

  • Thank you to our fantastic camp coaching team:  Alexey Sintchinov (Penn State), Yakov Danilenko (Medeo), Tim Svidnytsky (Toronto), Sergei Danilov (Alliance), Sorah Shin (Swords), Yarik Ponomarenko (NYFA) and Misha Mokretsov (NYFA).
  • This was the largest epee camp in the US with over 100 fencers from Great Britain, Hong Kong, China, Canada, and across the US  (NY, TX, IL, NJ, DC, PA, CA, CT, GA, MA, UT, VA, +)
  • 5 World Team Members (Ivan Zagoruiko, Wesley Johnson, Ariana Mangano, Alan Temiryaev, Jonathan Piskovatskov) and NCAA champion, Yevgeniy Karyuchenko, trained with us.
  • 15 ratings were earned at our CAMP TOURNAMENTS.
  • We had an amazing camp experience and look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
