RESULTS: GOLD MEDALS AT DALLAS NAC AND NY HIGH SCHOOL INVITATIONAL

Please congratulate our athletes for their great results this past weekend:

Romain Cannone wins Gold at the Dallas North American Cup in Cadets. Romain competed against 141 fencers to earn his first NAC championship title. He had a hard start in pools, but confidently defeated his opponents in the DEs. After winning his bouts against Bryn Hammarberg and Morris Boratin, Romain fought Thomas Petrosewicz and won 15-14, taking revenge for his loss against Thomas at the last NAC by the same score. Romain went on to defeat Jason Xu 15-10, and Malcolm Miller 15-7. To make the finals, Romain faced his toughest opponent of the day – Dylan French, the #1 Canadian who won the last NAC. With a close score of 15-14, Romain earned his place on the gold medal strip, where he defeated Charles Horowitz 15-7.
Skyler Chin wins Gold in the Brentwood Holiday Tournament on Long Island. This is an annual invitation-only fencing tournament with over 300 fencers from 13 different high school teams across Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties, with events in all 6 weapons. Skyler faced the top 45 mens epee fencers in the area and won all of his pool and DE bouts. Skyler defeated his teammate, Kevin Ko in the semifinals, and beat Andreas Tsoumpariotis of Oyster Bay HS in the finals 15-9.

Congratulations!!
